Congregate Meal
This program lets seniors enjoy a home cooked noon hour meal up to five times
a week (Monday thru Friday). It gives the people a chance to assist in the
food preparation, cleanup and time for socializing.
Meals on Wheels
Together with other services, organizations and volunteers, Meals on Wheels
will help the elderly and the disabled remain in their own surroundings as
well as provide good nutrition.
Housecleaning
This service is offered to seniors that are un~b1e to do extensive c1eanin~
in their own homes or apartments. Some of the c1eaning offered: washing walls,
windows, floors, etc... all at a reasonable rates for seniors.
Yard Maintenance
This service is from spring to fall for seniors wishing to have yard work
done at a reasonable price. In the winter months snow removal can be arranged
Transportation
This service is provided by volunteers. There is a minimal charge for local
transportation. If the senior needs transportation to the city then he/she
will be asked to cover the cost of the
gas and parking.
Friendly Visitor
Each senior is matched with a friendly visitor volunteer who donates one
or two hours of their time per week to share hobbies or just talk about everyday
affairs.
Shopping Escort
A volunteer will escort a senior on a shopping trip. The senior may be unable
to perform some of the tasks that we take for granted, such as carrying parcels
or driving to the store.
Handy Helper
This service is year-round to help aid seniors find people who can provide
home and yard maintenance/repairs at a reasonable rate.
Life-line Response System
For seniors living alone or who have a potentially disabling medical condition.
Allows them to live reasonably independent in their own dwellings.
