Victoria Lifeline

Victoria Lifeline is a non-profit service of the Victoria General Hospital Foundation that has been operating since 1987. We currently serve 2900 people throughout Manitoba. Our core service is to provide security, peace of mind and early intervention through use of a personal help button. This allows our subscribers to alert our Lifeline Response Centre when in need of assistance due to a fall, health concern or other situation needing emergency services (i.e. ambulance, fire or police) even if they are not by a telephone in their home.

Victoria Lifeline also provides other supportive services such as daily checks, adaptive buttons for those physically unable to push a button and wellness calls. Our newest service allows reminder messages to be recorded that can help with taking medications, remembering doctor or other appointments and keeping up with exercise or diet recommendations among other uses. This easy-to-use feature is standard in all of our new Lifeline telephones and has tremendous potential to help people maintain their independence while remaining safe.

For more information or to arrange service, please call your local Community Resource Council or to contact Lifeline directly: (204) 477-3447 or (toll-free) 1-888-722-5222.
