What is Seniors and Elders Month?
Volunteers for Seniors and Elders MonthSeniors’ and Elders' Month celebrations have been traditionally held to recognize the accomplishments of Manitoba seniors and the extent to which their valuable contributions have shaped our province. Since 1989, it has been the practice for the Minister responsible for Seniors to officially proclaim Seniors’ and Elders’ Month in Manitoba. Go


2010 Kick Off Event: October 1 (10 am to 2 pm)

The Seniors' and Elders' Day Community Planning Committee is very excited to announce that this year's Seniors' and Elders' Day event will take place at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, 375 York (Main Floor). Join us in celebrating the energy, vitality, and strength of seniors in Manitoba on the “International Day of the Older Person”! This event includes intergenerational and multi-cultural entertainment, information booths, interactive activities, and a chance for older adults from across the province to connect and celebrate.
